A Vintage Modern Eames Era Abstract "Head" Sculpture carved from stone. This rare find is attributed to HENRY MOORE. Possibly a maquette. There are some nicks mostly to one side. We think there might be another Moore signature on the bottom but due to the tremendous amount of surface scratching it is hard to determine. There is one particular mark that appears to be an "M". After magnifying in photoshop as well as some filtering - it is our determination that it is a deliberately signed "M" and not an accidental scuff. Furthermore, the "M" matches a unique "M" that can be found in other Henry Moore signed pieces. The unique form and style along with the obvious age of this sculpture lead us to believe that this work could have been done by none other than Henry Moore. Despite the blemishes this is a very amazing and intriguing piece of historical art. It is very nicely sized at approx. 4 3/4"H x 5 1/2"W x 3"D. Approx. 3 lbs.
